Stamped Concrete & Foundation Repair – Studio City
This home had not been remodeled in over 50 years. It is in the Laurel Canyon area on a steep incline, so it’s prone to the effects of erosion and mudslides. The outdoor walkways, stairs, and patios were all sloping towards the house, which was causing erosion, runoff issues, and flooding in the foundation and crawl space areas. As a result, the foundation on the front of the home was sinking and needed to be repaired to avoid a catastrophe. Finally, the retaining wall was too low and ineffective, so it needed to be repaired as well. Please click on the images to enlarge and show detail
Patio
The old patio was demolished, the ground was adjusted to slope away from the house, and finally, it was resurfaced with stamped concrete to match the color palette of the home’s exterior.
Walkways
There are walkways wrapping around the perimeter of the home. These were demolished, had the ground adjusted to slope away from the house, and were resurfaced with concrete.
Foundation Repair and Retaining Wall
With several decades of erosion, the front of the house had sunk one foot. We repaired the foundation to make the home level again and to keep it from disintegrating. Futhermore, we heightened the retaining wall on the side to hold back and properly channel water and erosion from the slope.
