Kitchen and Bath Remodel on a Budget – Granada Hills
This is great example of a beautiful kitchen and bath renovation done on a budget. The kitchen includes key focus pieces including a light beige granite counter top with cutouts for the sink and a wrap-around eating area. The dark wood cabinets add a rich contrast to the lighter pieces. The clever lighting design accentuates the colors and textures of the materials. This is a refreshing change from the previous theme on the “before” shot. Please click on the images to enlarge and show detail.
The remodeled master bathroom includes a light beige granite sink counter that contrasts with a dark wood vanity. The custom window dressing at the top is an extra detail that pulls the look of contrasting materials together. The tub and shower’s custom tile design includes subway tile proportions for a modern, yet classic, detail. As you can see from the “before” shot, there was a lot of work to refresh and update the look of the aged pink and white tile theme.
In the dining room, an elegant chandelier with clean lines was installed on a high pitched ceiling with no access and no visible wires.
The secondary smaller bathroom had a confining shower design and a similar dated look and feel to the rest of the pre-renovated home (see “Before Renovations” shots). It was updated elegantly but economically by using the same materials as the kitchen and the master bath.
